WEIRDSHIRE came about from the cancellation of the Weirdlore event in Bristol in 2012, a day festival featuring the best of uk psych/wyrd folk acts. A day event was held at The Barrels, Hereford as an alternative featuring amongst others: Rapunzel & Sedayne, Sproatly Smith, Heed The Thunder.
We are a small collective of enthusiastic music lovers who aim to provide opportunities for people in the Herefordshire area to experience innovative and unusual music.
We are also aware of our crucial role in supporting touring musicians who are producing music which is outside of the mainstream music industry – this eco system is vital and needs sustaining. We are trying to do our bit.
